WATER FED POLE SYSTEMS
Often, we’re asked the best way to clean windows at a high level. The Reach and Wash type of water fed pole systems are a very safe and cost effective way of cleaning windows and facades at both high and low level. With the water fed/Tucker Pole system used by Taskforce, poles can reach up to 70ft (that’s about 5 or 6 stories) while the operative stays at ground level. This is safer and means that there are fewer disturbances to the occupants of the building and there is no heavy equipment to damage landscaped areas; it also eliminates the need for risky and expensive machinery like cherry pickers and spiders.
The system uses 100% pure de-ionised water which evaporates without leaving smears on the glass and doesn’t use chemicals or cause environmental damage. Frames, sills and ledges can clean at the same time as the windows; when cleaning external fascia’s or panelled style buildings, you can add detergent if required.
Recently introduced “Working at Height” legislation means that the owner of a building is responsible for ensuring that work undertaken at their premises conforms to Health & Safety legislation. Window cleaning from the ground with the Water-fed Pole system eliminates the need for ladder ties on the outside of the building or harness fixing points on the inside as well as and the need to have them properly installed, maintained and inspected.
